Body Lift (Post-Weight Change Contouring)

A surgical procedure to remove excess skin and reshape multiple areas—commonly abdomen, flanks, lower back, buttocks and thighs (lower body lift/belt lipectomy)—to restore contour after major weight change or pregnancy.

After consultation, photos and measurements, we plan the safest sequence: lower body lift (circumferential/belt), with possible adjuncts (thigh/arm lift, liposuction) when appropriate. Incisions are placed to sit low and be concealed by underwear where possible. Surgery is performed in an accredited theatre with detailed consent, itemised quotation and structured aftercare. Staging procedures may be recommended for safety and accuracy.

Consultant-led planning, staged for safety

We assess skin quality, distribution of laxity, scars, hernia risk and overall health. Plans prioritise venous-thromboembolism prevention, meticulous haemostasis and low, discreet scars. Where helpful, we combine conservative liposuction for definition. You receive written risks, recovery timelines, scar-care guidance and a follow-up schedule; complex cases are often staged for safer outcomes.

Clinical clarity from consult to aftercare

You get an evidence-based plan, transparent costs and care in accredited facilities. We set realistic goals, map scars carefully, coordinate nutrition/anaemia checks where needed, and remain accessible through recovery. If timing or expectations aren’t right, we’ll advise alternatives or “not today”.

General questions

Ideal candidates have stable weight for ~6–12 months, good general health, non-smokers (or able to stop), and realistic goals. A consultation confirms suitability and priorities.
Typically the abdomen, flanks, lower back and buttocks (lifting/reshaping). Thighs and arms can be addressed in the same stage or a later stage, depending on safety and goals.
Both are possible. Single-stage offers one recovery; staging can reduce operative time per session and may improve safety and contour accuracy. We’ll recommend based on your exam and health.
A low circumferential scar (belt) designed to sit under underwear/swimwear; additional scars if thighs/arms are treated. We plan for discretion and provide a scar-care programme once healed.
Most desk workers return in ~2–3 weeks. You’ll wear compression for ~6 weeks, walk slightly bent for a few days, and avoid heavy lifting/strenuous exercise for ~6 weeks or as advised. Swelling refines over weeks to months.
