Best for healthy non-smokers (or able to stop), stable weight, enough donor fat and realistic goals. Very high BMIs or limited donor fat may suit alternatives or staging.
Small (5–8 mm) liposuction entry points placed in natural creases; fat-injection entry points are similarly tiny. We plan for discretion and provide scar-care guidance.
Some grafted fat is reabsorbed. Many patients do well with one conservative session; others benefit from a staged approach to build proportion safely.
Expect swelling/bruising for 1–2 weeks. Compression on donor areas ~6 weeks. Off-load the buttocks (avoid prolonged sitting; use a pillow; sleep prone/side) for the first 2–3 weeks. Desk work often resumes in 7–10 days, depending on extent.
Bleeding, infection, seroma, contour irregularity/asymmetry, numbness, small scars, fat necrosis or oil cysts, need for touch-ups. Serious but rare risks include fat embolism and DVT/PE. We mitigate with subcutaneous-only placement, plane control and conservative technique; full consent is provided.
