Ideal candidates have persistent discomfort (clothing, cycling, running, intercourse), hygiene difficulties or bothersome asymmetry, are in good health and have realistic goals. Suitability is confirmed at consultation.
We choose between trim (edge) or wedge techniques based on your anatomy, symmetry and goals. Selective clitoral hood reduction may be discussed when indicated. The plan prioritises function and sensation.
Swelling and bruising are common for 1–2 weeks; cold compresses and elevation help. Many return to desk work in ~5–7 days. Avoid tight clothing, cycling and vigorous exercise for ~4 weeks; abstain from intercourse/tampons for ~6 weeks or as advised.
Scars are typically along the inner labial edge or within natural folds and fade over time. We provide a scar-care plan once healed.
Bleeding, infection, delayed healing, asymmetry, contour irregularity, altered sensation, dryness or pain with intercourse, wound separation and need for revision. Full consent and close follow-up are provided.
