Liposuction (Targeted Fat Removal)

A surgical procedure that removes localised fat deposits to refine contour in areas such as the abdomen, flanks, hips, thighs, arms, chin and knees.

After consultation and photos, we mark treatment zones and choose technique (tumescent suction-assisted; power- or ultrasound-assisted where appropriate). Small entry points are used. Procedures are performed in an accredited theatre with detailed consent, itemised costs and structured aftercare. Liposuction shapes—it is not a weight-loss treatment.

Consultant-led planning, proportion-first contouring

We assess skin quality, fat distribution and symmetry, then plan conservative, layered removal to protect contours and skin. Compression, activity timelines and follow-ups are explained in plain language. Where suitable, we combine liposuction with abdominoplasty, gynaecomastia surgery or fat grafting.

Clinical clarity from consult to aftercare

You receive an evidence-based plan, transparent quotation and care in accredited facilities. We prioritise safety (fluid balance, VTE prevention), discreet entry points and realistic goals, provide written aftercare and schedule reviews. If liposuction isn’t appropriate, we’ll advise alternatives.

General questions

Best for stable weight, good skin elasticity and localised fat that persists despite lifestyle measures. A consultation confirms medical suitability and goals.
Common zones: abdomen, flanks, hips, outer/inner thighs, buttock crease, upper arms, back rolls, submental/neck and knees. We confirm suitability per area after examination.
Small (5–8 mm) entry points placed in natural creases where possible. We plan for discretion and provide a scar-care programme once healed.
Bruising/swelling are expected for 1–3 weeks. Compression garments are worn for ~4–6 weeks. Many return to desk work in 3–7 days depending on extent; avoid strenuous exercise ~2–3 weeks or as advised.
Bleeding, infection, contour irregularity/asymmetry, seroma, numbness, pigmentation changes, small scars and need for touch-ups or adjunct surgery. Rare risks include fat embolism and fluid shifts. Full consent and monitoring are provided.
